RESCHEDULED: Here is why Busoga Masaza Cup semis were postponed to next week

BUGEMBE – The Busoga Masaza Cup organizing committee has postponed the semi-final ties that were scheduled to take place on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, at the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

The decision to postpone the games was made as a mark of respect following the passing of Lt. Kibirige, who served as the secretary of the Busoga Masaza Cup organizing committee from 2016 to 2021.

The semi-final ties have been rescheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 27th, at the same venue, with the fixtures remaining unchanged.

Buzaya will face off against Bukono at 12:00noon, while Butembe will take on Bugabula at 3:00pm.Entrance to the stadium will be UGX2,000.

The committee has urged fans to turn up in large numbers to pay tribute to Lt. Kibirige’s memory and to support their favorite teams.

The Busoga Masaza Cup organizing committee has expressed its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lt. Kibirige, who played a significant role in the development of the tournament during his tenure as secretary.
