The love affair between Gen. Salim Saleh, Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), and Ugandan musicians has faded and destined to rest in a cold limbo. In simple terms, the singers have become useless and not aligning to the expectations of the good general.
In a brief communication to musician Eddy Kenzo in his capacity as Presidential Advisor on Creatives and the President of Uganda National Musicians Association ordering him to ‘handle the musicians who are flocking to Gulu for xmas festivities shows’ because ‘they are interfering with my work in northern Indiana.’
Gen. Salim Saleh’s message was carried on the X account of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC). The OWC leadership advised all stakeholders in the creative arts especially musicians to remain mindful of their engagements and align with national priorities aimed at socio-economic transformation.
“Collaboration and mutual respect for development efforts are essential as we work towards uplifting communities across Uganda,” OWC complimented the general’s message to musicians.
