GOOD NEWS: Jinja Hospital to benefit from UGX21bn contract with Japanese company

The ministry of health reveals that they have signed a UGX 21bn contract with M/s SIRIUS Corporation in Japan to supply and install medical equipment at Soroti and Jinja Regional Referral Hospitals.

The permanent secretary at the health ministry, Dr. Diana Atwine, explained that the deal is under the JICA-funded “Project for the Improvement of Medical Equipment at RRHs in Uganda.”

The Installation will begin in Oct 2025, training & commissioning will be in Nov/Dec 2025 with 3-year maintenance contract, narrated in a post on X, a social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

.”The Equipment includes X-rays, Ultrasound, ENT, Dental, Surgical instruments & more,” she posted.
